Embrace Life Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

Cash Prize for Marinette and Menominee County Graduating Seniors

The Suicide Prevention Network (SPN) will be awarding two scholarships for $500 and two for $250 to graduating high school seniors from Marinette County, Wisconsin and Menominee County, Michigan.

The AwardGraduates will submit a 1-2 page paper on a mental health issue and how it relates to suicide or a paper of how to talk to a person contemplating suicide.  This twin county competition is judged by the board of directors of Suicide Prevention Network.

DeadlinePaper must be received by march 29 2019 at 4:00pm, CST.

Eligibility
You must be in good standing in your final year of school and scheduled to graduate in August, 2018.  These scholarships are available to Marinette County, Wisconsin and Menominee County, Michigan students.

Your Paper Should Include
  1. The original manuscript and an extra copy.
  2. A letter from your sponsor on letterhead from the institution you are graduating from.
  3. The cover page needs the title of the paper, author’s name, home address and phone number, email address, high school name, high school address, and total number of pages.
  4. The body of the paper cannot exceed 2 type written pages and should be double-spaced with 12-point typeface Times New Roman with one-inch margins all around.
  5. 1 citation is mandatory. Place citations within the body of the paper and list all references at the end of your paper. The reference page is separate from the written body.
  6. Pages must be numbered in the upper right hand part of the header.
  7. Papers must be submitted by postal mail and must be received by December 29, 2018 at 4:00pm, CST (no exceptions, regardless of postmark).

  2. Did you follow the formatting guidelines throughout your paper?
  3. Did you follow the instructions for citations and references?
  4. Does your cover page list all the required information?
  5. Does your paper include a statement from a sponsor on the institutions letterhead?
  6. Did you include the original paper and a copy?

Sony has debuted the official trailer for ‘The Woman King’ ahead of its anticipated September 16 release.
